About Us

Allison Hux Chance started her career in event planning during her time in college at the University of Florida. Allison began working at the Florida Museum of Natural History in the Special Events department. Allison worked here throughout college for 2 years planning functions for the University as well as private clients including weddings, holiday parties and showers. Allison loved her time at the museum and learned so many important things during her time here.

Allison relocated to Orlando, FL in January 2010 to pursue an internship with Arthur's Catering as a requirement for her degree. In March 2010, she was hired on full time with the company before the internship even ended! Allison became engaged in June to the man of her dreams during a cruise to the Caribbean. She immediately began planning her fairytale southern wedding (well, that started a LONG time ago, but now it was official). Allison planned weddings for many clients during here time at Arthur's and always got the same feedback from her clients... You need to be a wedding planner! Allison had always thought about starting her own company, but maybe it wasn't quite time yet! So, after discovering that Allison and her husband would be relocating to Jacksonville at the end of 2011, Allison knew it was her calling to start Chance Events.
